Company: Refers to Mayday Shipping Xpress.
Customer: Any individual or organisation utilising our services.
Shipment: Any item(s) entrusted to us for transportation.
Carrier: Any third-party service provider used to deliver shipments.
Our responsibility begins once the package is received at our warehouse and ends once it has been delivered or collected.
We are not liable for shipments before they arrive at our facility or after they have been collected or delivered.
Customers must provide accurate shipping information and ensure their packages are securely and appropriately packed before sending them to our warehouse.
Your unique mailbox number must be included on line 2 of the shipping address when placing orders.
Customers must also specify whether they prefer express or standard shipping given on the portal.
Failure to provide a mailbox number or shipping preference may lead to delays, additional charges, or the package being classified as "lost" or "unclaimed."
To retrieve a package classified as lost or unknown, customers must submit:
A valid tracking number
Proof of purchase
A description of the package contents
The declared value of the shipment
Mayday Shipping Xpress is a courier facilitator and does not guarantee the condition or contents of packages once they are in transit.
We are not responsible for damage, loss, or theft during shipping or delivery.
Customers send all shipments at their own risk unless properly insured.
Accurate contact and delivery information must be provided when placing shipments.
Full payment must be made before packages can be collected, unless a prior agreement is in place.
Additional fees may apply for customs duties, taxes, or other regulatory charges.
The following items are not permitted for shipping:
Dangerous goods (e.g., explosives, flammables, toxic substances)
Illegal products (e.g., narcotics, counterfeit items, stolen goods)
Perishable goods without proper preservation or packaging
High-value items (e.g., cash, jewellery, antiques) unless declared and insured
We reserve the right to decline any shipment at our sole discretion.
Shipments arriving in Jamaica with a declared value above USD 100 may be subject to duties and fees imposed by Jamaican customs.
Customers are responsible for paying all applicable customs charges.
Failure to pay may cause delays, additional charges, or return to sender.
Mayday Shipping Xpress is not responsible for delays resulting from customs clearance.
A package is classified as lost if:
It is not delivered within 30 days of the expected delivery date.
It cannot be located following an internal investigation.
Claims for lost or damaged shipments must be submitted within 7 days of the expected delivery date. Claims should include:
The tracking number
A description of the package contents
The declared value of the shipment
Proof of value (e.g., invoice or receipt)
Once a claim is received, we will initiate an investigation, typically completed within 21 to 28 days.
Customers will be notified of the outcome once the investigation concludes.
If a package is confirmed lost, compensation will be provided based on the declared value, up to a company-defined maximum.
If the package was insured, compensation will not exceed the insured amount.
Mayday Shipping Xpress will not be held liable for:
Improper or insufficient packaging
Shipments containing prohibited or restricted items
Undeclared high-value goods
Issues caused by customs authorities or third-party carriers
Loss, damage, or theft occurring after the package has been collected in Jamaica
Customers must ensure someone is available to receive packages upon delivery.
If delivery is unsuccessful, additional re-delivery charges may apply.
Packages not collected within 21 days after being marked "ready" will incur a JMD 100 daily storage fee.
After 30 days, unclaimed packages may be auctioned or disposed of at the company’s discretion.
Claims for lost or damaged deliveries must be made within 7 days of delivery.
Orders can only be cancelled before the package is received at our Florida warehouse.
Once received at our warehouse, the shipment process cannot be cancelled.
No refunds will be issued for items that are already in transit or delivered.
Any disputes related to shipments or claims should be addressed directly with Mayday Shipping Xpress.
If no resolution is reached, the matter may be referred to mediation or arbitration, as per applicable laws.
We collect personal and shipping data solely for order processing and logistics purposes.
Your information will not be shared with third parties, unless legally required.
